Sara has always had a love for bird and wildlife care since she was young from rescuing and caring for birds in found in garden to being a wildlife carer for 4 years where she raised a duckling with an amputated leg to release and helping take care of of orphaned and sick wildlife as a volunteer in multiple zoos and sanctuaries. 

 

She recently moved to Melbourne to study a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with ACAAS after completing her Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care. This is her first job as trainee vet nurse.

 

One of Sara’s favourite parts of this job is getting to know all different kinds of birds and learning how to take care of them. And when she’s not working or studying you can find her playing with her foster kitten or flying on a trapeze.
